The leader of Cameroon’s biggest opposition political party, Ni John Fru Ndi of the Social Democratic Front (SDF), has urged President Paul Biya of La Republique du Cameroun to take a stand by putting an end to the massacres of Southern Cameroonians.

Speaking Wednesday in the margins of a ceremony to celebrate the recent victory of the Indomitable Lions at the African Nations Cup, Ni John Fru Ndi told the state-owned broadcaster that he invited Mr. Biya to intervene to end the killings, abductions, hostage-takings and the extortions ongoing.

He described the troops enforcing the undeclared state of emergency in Southern Cameroons as disguised “Ninjas”.

Ni John Fru Ndi declined to take the bait on a question repeated twice trying to get him to call on Southern Cameroonians to end the strikes that have paralyzed courts and closed schools across Southern Cameroons.

The SDF chief said he had nothing to offer anyone, were he even to talk to them, because according to him, the Biya regime has not made any effort except to pursue the crimes it is perpetrating in Southern Cameroons.

Ni John Fru Ndi applauded the goalkeeper of the Indomitable Lions for dedicated his award to Bamenda, pointed out that the four players on the squad from Southern Cameroons fulfilled their mission and once more declined to be led into calling off the strikes and ghost town operations.

In addition, Ni John Fru Ndi told CRTV that he had taken the opportunity of his presence at Unity Palace to confront the Minister of Communications and Spokesperson of La Republique on the lies he has been telling about the absence of an Anglophone Problem.
